The Newham Children's Information Service (NCIS) provides information on childcare. They do not make specific recommendations, but they can:

• Provide information about registered childminders, nurseries, after-school playcare, pre-school playgroups and holiday play schemes;
• Advise you on what to look for when you are choosing day care for your child.
